CarDriving to either the training centre or one of the hotels in London is not recommended, as car parking in all areas is restricted. Typically, car parking will be upwards of £20 per day.
UndergroundThe easiest way of travelling in London is by the UNDERGROUND, sometimes referred to as the TUBE. Underground stations are found throughout London, and are organised by Lines. Maps are readily available.
A single fare originating from zone 1 (London's central area) is available. A book of 10 single tickets is called a CARNET. Tickets from a CARNET are valid for 1 year from date of purchase.
A weekly ticket giving unlimited travel in zone 1 (the central area) is available, although you will need a travelcard to obtain this ticket. A travelcard can be obtained from all rail and underground stations on production of a passport sized photograph.
A one day LT Card for zones 1 and 2 are available, and gives the holder unlimited travel on underground and bus services within zones 1 and 2. There are no restrictions on travel time with this card, which is where the card differs from a one day travelcard, which can only be used after 09:30.
TrainsAll of London's main railway stations are located within the central underground zone. Travelling from the railway station to the training centre will normally involve an underground journey, although Liverpool Street and Fenchurch Street stations are just a short walk away
AirportsLondon City airport is the closest airport, and is a few minutes by taxi. Stansted has direct trains to Liverpool Street station (45 minutes), and is the closer to the training centre than either Heathrow or Gatwick. Heathrow and Gatwick are around 75 minutes away by public transport.
