System i (AS/400, iSeries, i5)
System Facilities
4 days The System Facilities course is the foundation course for programming work on the System i (AS/400, iSeries, i5). It provides the skills to use the editing tools that are provided on the System i (AS/400, iSeries, i5), and provides hands on experience in the use of the System i (AS/400, iSeries, i5).
System i (AS/400, iSeries, i5)
Program Design
1 day Delegates without prior programming experience should attend this course. We normally schedule the Program Design course to follow the System i (AS/400, iSeries, i5) System Facilities course.
At this point, you may like to check the System i (AS/400, iSeries, i5) CL Programming Training Path, as RPG400 and CL Programming are frequently used together.
System i (AS/400, iSeries, i5)
RPG400 Programming
5 days RPG is a popular programming language on the System i (AS/400, iSeries, i5). RPG400 Programming is the base RPG400 programming course. We recommend a period of practical RPG400 programming after taking this course. If you are looking to maintain rpg programs on the iSeries then you will also need CL Programming knowledge.

System i (AS/400, iSeries, i5)
Interactive SQL
1 day
Although a late arrival on the iSeries, SQL has rapidly become the de-facto standard for database access across all computer systems. Interactive SQL one day course provides an introduction to using SQL internatively on the iSeries.

System i (AS/400, iSeries, i5)
SQL Tools and Techniques for iSeries Developers
2 days
SQL Tools and Techniques for iSeries Developers two day course is for application development staff needed to view, create or modify test data quickly and simply and then go on to embed SQL in to an RPG programming language.

System i (AS/400, iSeries, i5)
RPG Subfile
Programming
2 days
(optional)
Subfile Programming course teaches RPG400 programmers the techniques involved in subfile programming.
System i (AS/400, iSeries, i5)
CL Programming
4 days CL Programming is the basic CL Programming course, which provides the foundation for the follow on courses.
CL Programming courses may be taken before or after RPG400 programming courses.

With over 1500 commands, mastering CL programming becomes more an issue of learning programming techniques, rather than commands and paramteters. The course teaches some of those programming techniques.
At this point, you have completed the learning for RPG400. The next step is to progress to System i (AS/400, iSeries, i5) RPGIV Programming.
