It is hard to imagine application development without the use of subfiles. This course provides tuition in the practical use of subfiles, and how to code them within RPG programs.
On completion of this course, you will be able to:
RPGIV or RPG/400 programmers developing subfile applications for use on the iSeries.
Attendees should attend the iSeries (AS400) RPGIV Programming or iSeries (AS400) RPG/400 Programming course prior to this course, and follow this with a period of practical work in RPG development, or have the equivalent practical expertise. Delegates need to have a good practical knowledge of SDA, PDM and SEU.
iSeries (AS400) Introduction to Embedded SQL, iSeries (AS400) RPGIV Crossover and iSeries (AS400) ILE Fundamentals. If you attend the advanced RPG courses you do not need to attend this course.
A course manual with supporting documentation is provided. Participants on this course will develop and enhance several subfile based applications, using each of the three subfile programming styles. Delegates may bring a quarter inch cartridge tape to backup the materials developed on this course for further reference.
